What browser should I use?

A website "browser" is an application for viewing content online. If you are reading this, you must be using one now. Some popular browsers are: Firefox, Chrome (we recommend these first two above all others), Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Opera. The choice of browser used is very important when working with online accounts such as the website editor.

Almost any browser should work well for editing or viewing your website. The browser need only be compatible with Internet standards to work just fine. However, some browsers lack features or compatibility, so they may not work well with the site editor. For example, the AOL browser is not supported at all because it lacks important functionality that most browsers have, and we do not recommend using any version Internet Explorer for the same reason.

It is best to use an up-to-date version of your chosen browser. Not only will compatibility with website content be better, but later browsers have more up to date security features and they are usually faster.

If you are using the site editor and something does not work as you expect, it could be just a browser issue. These can be easily solved using a free and easily-installed browser. You may also call us so that we can help you troubleshoot the issue.

If you would like to download one of our recommended browsers, you can easily obtain Firefox here or Chrome here.
